Tim Buckley

This past week I’ve really been on a Tim Buckley kick for some reason. I’ve always enjoyed him, but lately I’ve been obsessed. Next week I’ll be posting some live shows of his, so fans of Tim check back for those. If you aren’t  aware of Tim, do yourself a favor and check out his first three albums, Tim Buckley, Goodbye & Hello, and Happy Sad, which are his best in my opinion, but you really can’t go wrong with any of them. If the last name seems familiar, it’s probably because you’ve heard of his son, Jeff, who’s version of Hallelujah became his most well known song. While I love Jeff’s music, Tim is my favorite of the two. I believe if Tim had lived longer (he passed away at age 28), he would be talked about with the likes of Leonard Cohen, Neil Young and people like that. He was such a unique musician, so diverse and never settled for less than what he wanted from his music. Here are  few songs that showcase his immense talent and powerful voice. Be sure to check back next week for some live shows from Tim.
