Catching up

It’s been a while since I posted, and it’s mostly due to the fact that my wife and I have moved, and most of my time has been taken up by trying to get things unpacked and organized, as well as a working a full time job, which has left me with little time for much else. So, this post is to kind of catch up on some recent music news and hopefully start some regular posting from here on out. Last Saturday I got the chance the catch The Pines, which was my first time seeing them. I was not disappointed, they played all the songs I was hoping they would, and also played some new songs from their upcoming album Dark So Gold. I did tape the show and am in the process of mastering it and will upload it here soon. That also brings me an unfortunate piece of news. Megaupload, which is where I host all my live shows, was taken down by the FBI recently. That means all the links to those shows are now dead. I plan on going through and fixing them at some point in the future, but if there is anything you’re really wanting, let me know and I can post it ASAP. A bit of sad news came out yesterday, Etta James passed away after a battle with lukemia. Best known for her song “At Last“, she was a legend in the music business and will be sorely missed. Another one of my favorite songs by Etta is “The Wallflower (Roll With Me Henry)“, which I heard for the first time in the movie Back To The Future, and will always carry that memory with me. RIP Etta, you were truly one of a kind.
