Media Fire

My Media Fire has been suspended due to “copyright violations”, which I find ridiculous because almost everything on there is live shows, aside from a few personal files. I kinda saw this coming, Media Fire has been going down this road for a while and it was only a matter of time before they gave in like other so-called “locker” sites. I would encourage anyone who uses Media Fire to be sure to back up anything you have on there, legal or not, because it seems as though they won’t hesitate to delete anything. This occurrence just hastens an idea I’ve been thinking of recently, so it will probably turn out for the best in the long run. My plan is instead of uploading live shows, studio outtakes, bootlegs of any kind on a locker site, I will just be uploading it to a site like Demonoid or Pirate Bay, and then posting the link to download it here. That way, there is very little chance of the file being lost, as both Demonoid and Pirate Bay have shown the willingness to fight back and show no signs of slowing down. Also, you will most likely be able to download faster if there are more seeds on the torrent than if you were to download from a storage site. The decision to use either Demonoid or Pirate Bay is a tough one. Demonoid requires an account, and they open for signs ups frequently and I also have invites for anyone who needs one. Pirate Bay does not require registration, but people are less likely to stay on torrents and seed in most cases than at Demonoid. Ideally, I’d like to be able to figure out a way to add both trackers to the torrent and make everyone happy, which I am going to try to figure out here in the next day or two. For those unfamiliar with torrents, here is a good place to start:

This site will not stop spreading music, no matter what problems may arise. I know posting has been slower recently, mostly because of my work schedule and life just getting busier, but I will continue to post as long as I feel I have something worthwhile to share and people keep reading. Have a great night/day, and thank you for reading.

EDIT–Almost forgot to add…I will not be updating links to dead Media Fire links, there were close to 300 of them and I just don’t have the time or energy to do this, but if there is something in particular you are looking for, please contact me and I will gladly update it for you, I don’t mind doing that, but there are too many to mass update.
