Adam Green & Binki Shapiro

While it’s tough to replicate the sound of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra,  Adam Green & Binki Shapiro made a great effort with their self titled album. Compiled of mostly sweet and light songs, this makes for a quick and easy listen, and definitely holds up to repeated plays. There is enough of a mix between duets and solo songs that there is something here for every fan.  A lot of these songs sound like they were written after Adam’s divorce, as they have a hint of regret and sadness to them, while at the same time full of hope and thankfulness for what the relationship was. I don’t know if this is a one-off or a new partnership between the two singers, but I wouldn’t mind hearing more songs by these two, they complement each other very well. Here are a couple of highlights from Adam Green & Binki Shapiro.

  • Just To Make Me Feel Good
  • Pity Love
