Shirley Temple

Shirley TempleShirley Temple died last week at the age of 85. Shirley’s movies were a huge part of my childhood, and they are some of the most timeless films ever created. I can still remember staying up late with my siblings watching Curly Top, or The Littlest Rebel. She never had much success as an adult actress, but she will always be a part of American history for her memorable films as a child, some made as far back as 80 years ago and still being watched today. A big part of Shirley’s appeal were the songs used in her films. Songs such as “Animal Crackers In My Soup“, “On The Good Ship Lollipop“, and “An Old Straw Hat“. It makes me sad to see top child star lists never really include Shirley, she is easily my favorite child actresses ever, and I will be showing her movies to my children and I’m sure they will enjoy them as much as I did. Thank you for the memories Shirley, you will be missed greatly.
