Picks Of The Week

Posted March 20, 2011 By admin
I am currently watching the NCAA tournament, and like many people, my bracket has been long busted. I had Louisville going to the championship game in one bracket! Being from MN I of course root for the Gophers, but when they aren’t playing I cheer for the North Carolina Tarheels, so I’m happy they survived the weekend. This has been one of the most exciting opening weekends to March Madness that I can remember, there have been so many buzzer beaters and down to the wire games. Hopefully next week will be just as exciting. Tomorrow I’ll be heading to the Ron Sexsmith concert and will be recording that, so fans of him keep a look out for that once I get it mastered. Here are this weeks Picks Of The Week:
  • Yuca E Platano- Maria Isa
  • You Should Go Home- Statik Selektah & Termanology (ft. Bun B)
  • The Golden Age- The Asteroids Galaxy Tour
  • Static Waves- Andrew Belle (ft. Katie Herzig)
  • Praise The Lord For My Darlin’- James Hoffman
  • Phone Numbers- Wiz Khalifa (ft. Trae Tha Truth & Big Sean)
  • Don’t Turn Away- Pieta Brown
  • Don’t Cry- Kina Grannis
  • Can It Be (Half a Million Dollars and 18 Months Later)- Murs

Wolves win!

Posted November 12, 2010 By admin

Tonight was an awesome night for the Wolves, who have now won two straight. Kevin Love scored 31 points and grabbed 31 boards as well, the first time a player has had a 30/30 game since Moses Malone is 1982. Michael Beasley added 35 points as well, which is the first time in my memory the Wolves have had two 30 point scorers in the same game. This is a great step for the Wolves, and I’m very excited to see what the rest of the season holds.

Short absence

Posted November 5, 2010 By admin

Sorry about the short absence the last few days. I was in the hospital Wednesday and Thursday having more surgery on my lung to remove some lumps that need to be tested for cancer again. I thought I would have the energy to post on Thursday, but I was just so drained it was the last thing on my mind, and sleeping was the first. A lot of things happened and I feel out the loop even though it was only two days away from the internet. One of the most well-known and beloved MLB managers ever, Sparky Anderson, passed away, Randy Moss was picked up by the Titans, the 2010 MN Governor election will be headed for a recount, although I was able to catch the Timberwolves worst loss in franchise history on the hospital TV, I think that’s one event I would have rather missed out on. Also, today Ryan Adams announced a new website to go along with a much-anticipated new album, and a hint of tour dates at some point. Also, on a personal note, me and my wife adopted another guinea pig on Tuesday, to go along with the one we already had. I’ll post some pictures in the next few days of both of them, their names are Piglet and Winnie. Well, I think I’m about all caught up on the happenings of the last few days. I’ll leave you with some pictures I took on Monday of a church in the area I thought were really cool. I’ve been really interested in HDR for a while as well, so I did some post processing using Photmatix. Some people hate the cartoonish look using HDR, but I for one love the effect, it adds a lot of character to the picture. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Enjoy!
